What is Red light therapy?
Red light therapy (RLT) is the use of low level Red LED lights to treat skin issues, such as wrinkles, scars, and persistent wounds, among other conditions.
To date, there is a lot of research, small studies published, and a lot of discussion on the internet about the efficacy of red light therapy for various health conditions. Some studies have yielded promising results, but the entire efficacy of red light therapy has yet to be determined.
What is Collagen?
Collagen is a protein that is found in the skin, bones, and other connective tissues. It provides strength to these tissues and helps them maintain their shape and helps maintain skin’s elasticity. Collagen also helps with wound healing and tissue repair.
Red light therapy for natural Collagen production
Red light wavelengths stimulate the mitochondria in your cells. Mitochondria are able to take light, oxygen, and nutrients from the food we eat and convert them into useful energy for our bodies through cellular respiration with this boost.

The mitochondria in our cells can make energy more efficient when our bodies absorb the healthful natural wavelengths of red and infrared light. Your fibroblast cells can produce more natural collagen as a result of the increased energy.
Several clinical trials and laboratory investigations have looked into the natural boost in collagen formation caused by wavelengths of red and near-infrared light. Higher levels of naturally created collagen can also be found in the skin, bones, and joints.
